Food sources of vitamin C are citrus fruits, dark leafy vegetables, tomatoes and potatoes. - Vitamin E is the most recognized vitamin for beautiful skin and hair. Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin that protects cells against free radical damage from environmental factors such as the sun. Vitamin E lubricates cell membranes and speeds up cell regeneration to support new skin and hair growth. The scalp can become flaky and the face can become extremely dry and rough without sufficient vitamin E intake.
The recommended dietary allowance for vitamin E is 30 IU. Food sources for vitamin E are vegetable oils, margarine, nuts, seeds and leafy vegetables.
