How to Seal a Brick Patio
- 1). Use a garden hose to spray down the patio.
- 2). Add dish soap or detergent to a bucket of water and pour it onto the bricks.
- 3). Scrub the bricks with a push broom to clean the bricks and remove any stains. Rinse the excess soap solution off with the garden hose, and let the brick dry.
- 4). Pour the water-based sealer into a paint tray that you can use with a roller.
- 5). Apply the sealer to the bricks by rolling it on, working your way out from an enclosed corner.
- 6). Let the sealer dry for at least two hours.
- 7). Apply another coat of sealer to the brick patio and let it dry, to complete the project.
