Ryan Evans: Ryan is Sharpay's brother, which is a little weird since they tried out for lead parts in a seemingly romantic high school musical in the first movie. Ryan is talented, but he gets caught up in Sharpay's schemes and does not always make the right decisions.
In High School Musical 2, the sequel to Disney Channel's pop culture phenomenon High School Musical, school is out for the summer, and Troy (Zac Efron), Gabriella (Vanessa Anne Hudgens), and their friends all get a job at a posh country club - a club founded by Sharpay's grandfather.

The competition is on when Sharpay goes after Troy and the students take their performances to new heights in preparation for the club's annual mid-summer night musical production.
