- the industry leader in surgical robotics that has reported second quarter revenue of $351 million, up from $261 million for the same period last year and the second one was from Abbott that has announced financial results for the Q2, confirming double-digit earnings growth outlook for 2010.
Both the news stories confirm the fact that the surgical instruments industry is witnessing a substantial growth and the surgical instruments exporters are confident of posting record profits this year too! India and china are going to be the growth engines for this demand due to the increase in their health care infrastructure as well as the increasing preference for minimally invasive surgeries.
Out of the BRIC economies, India and China are expected to grow in excess of 8% for the next two years.
