How to Control Stink Bugs With Acephate
- 1). Fill a spray tank with 1/2 the desired amount of water you need to use on your crops. Effective stink bug control requires 3/4 lb. of treated water per acre.
- 2). Drop an unopened packet of acephate 90SP into the spray tank and turn on the spray tank's agitator.
- 3). Add the remaining amount of water while the agitator is running. The packet should dissolve in 5 minutes.
- 4). Spray the acephate solution evenly over the affected area as soon as you notice stink bug eggs. Hold the nozzle 4 feet or lower above the ground.
- 5). Reapply acephate every seven days throughout the growing season, or for as long as stink bugs are a problem.
