How to Recover Deleted Text Messages on a Verizon LG
- 1). Buy a CSIStick. (See Resources.) This device will allow you to download text messages and other data from CDMA phones. As of 2010, they cost $299.
- 2). Install on your computer the software that comes with the CSI stick. Just insert the CD-ROM into your computer's optical drive and follow the directions. This will allow your computer to read the data off of your cell phone.
- 3). Attach the LG tip attachment onto your CSI stick. This will allow it to connect with your LG phone. Plug the CSI stick into the bottom of your phone.
- 4). Download the emails from your phone by moving the switch on the CSI stick to the icon that looks like a text message. Press the orange button on the device. This will transfer the text messages to the CSI stick.
- 5). Remove the tip adapter and plug the CSI stick into the USB port on your computer. Launch the CSI software that you installed earlier.
- 6). Go to “Files” and “Open Text Messages.” This will cause the text messages to appear in the screen. The deleted ones will be marked in red. To undelete them, simply right-click on them and select “Undelete.”
- 7). Note that you will only be able to undelete files that have not been written over. If they have been written over, nothing will be able to retrieve them.
