How to Remove Pet Hair From a Washer
- 1). Prepare a bucket of water using about a gallon of water and a drop or two of liquid dish soap. Gently stir the soapy mix but do not agitate to the point of creating soap bubbles. The diluted soapy water will facilitate hair to adhere to the cleaning cloth.
- 2). Wipe the washer door inside and out with a clean lint-free cloth dipped in the soapy water. Rinse and repeat as needed.
- 3). Scrub the drum with a scrubbing sponge or scrub brush to loosen and remove hair plugs that are clogging up the washer drum.
- 4). Use a lint-free cloth and liberal amount of water and methodically wipe down the entire inside of the washer drum. Start at the top and work your way around the drum. Make sure to wipe the rotator in the center of top loader washers.
- 5). Run the rinse cycle of the washer to flush out the remaining soapy water.
- 6). Spray glass cleaner on a clean lint-free cloth to slightly dampen it. Thoroughly wipe down the inside of the washer and both sides of the door as above to collect the last remaining pet hair.
