Halloween Crafts With Candy Bar Wrappers

    Decoupage

    • Use a layer of wrappers to decoupage a plastic candy bowl or light switch. Get the wrappers very flat by ironing them on a low temperature. Cover the underside of each wrapper with a glue stick and press it onto the outside of the bowl or light switch. Push out any wrinkles using your finger. Once the entire surface is covered, cover the wrappers with decoupage gel, available in craft stores. Use a foam paintbrush to cover the entire surface with the gel. Let it dry for 20 minutes or until the gel is dry.

    Wrapper Trees

    • Create simple tabletop trees using foam trees and wrappers. Buy small foam tree shapes from a craft store and flatten out candy wrappers. Cover each tree with wrappers, starting at the bottom and working your way up. Secure corners of the wrappers to the trees using small metal pins. Use only one type of candy wrapper on each tree, or use a variety of wrappers to add more color. Cluster the trees together on an end table or create a centerpiece with them.

    Wrapper Garland

    • With a little time and patience, you can create a garland out of nothing but wrappers, scissors and tape. Spread out all the wrappers you have and cut them into long inch-wide strips. Form one strip into a loop with the pattern facing out. Wrap a piece of tape around the ends to keep the paper together. Slip another wrapper strip into the circle and form it into another loop, taping its ends together. Continue adding links until you run out of wrappers. Hang the chain from a doorway or mantle.

    DIY Wrappers

    • Use candy wrappers to create new packaging for Halloween gifts, cards or even other candy bars. Cut out small pieces of wrappers and glue them onto larger pieces of paper. When the glue dries, staple the paper into envelopes, tape multiple pages together to make wrapping paper or wrap chocolate bars up in the paper. To add name labels, glue on a small rectangle cut from plain paper. Cut the letters of the recipient's name from more candy wrappers and glue them onto the name tag.
