How to Add Glamour to Your Photos
- 1). Open a portrait in the photo editing software you will be using. For a more professional glamour shot, the background should be sparse or one solid color.
- 2). Right-click the Background icon to the right of the screen. Click Duplicate Layer. This will create a layer titled Background Copy. Right-click the Background Copy layer and click Duplicate Layer, creating Background Copy 2.
- 3). Select Filter at the top of the screen while Background Copy 2 is highlighted. Roll the mouse over Distort, and on the second dropdown screen select Diffuse Glow. This will bring up the Diffuse Glow menu. Set the Graininess bar to 0 and the Glow Amount to somewhere between 4 and 7. Set the Clear Amount between 7 and 10. Select OK at the top of the screen.
- 4). Click the eye icon at the right of the screen to turn off Background Copy 2. Select Background Copy. Select Filter at the top of the screen and Blur in the dropdown box. Select Gaussian Blur from the Blur menu. Select the desired radius for your picture.
- 5). Select Background Copy 2. Change the blending mode from Normal to Overlay. This selection is located directly above the layers on the right side of the screen.
