How do I Use an Egg Cooker That Uses a Tealight?
- 1). Use the tin shears to cut the can down to about 3 inches tall, keeping one end intact for the cooking surface.
- 2). Cut three arches out of the open end of the can, each about 2 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The arches should be taller than the candles. You will turn the can upside down over the candles, and the arches must expose at least one-third of the candles' flames so enough oxygen reaches them.
- 3). Set the tea lights together in a triangle and light them, then set the can over the flames. Check to see that the flames are burning strongly. If not, make the arches in the can higher so enough oxygen can reach the flame.
- 1). Add a small amount of butter or oil to the cooking surface, if desired, to keep the egg from sticking.
- 2). Crack an egg gently onto the top of the can; the ridge around the can will keep it from running down the side.
- 3). Allow the egg to cook thoroughly.
