Question: Are Architecture, Music and Dance considered Fine Art?

Answer:

Categories in art are rather slippery or ephemeral. In the past, Architecture, Music and Dance were considered clearly to be part of the Fine Arts, while today those practices are in their own categories. Yet, some exceptions do arise.

Architecture is now seen as a separate category, but there are numerous contemporary artists whose work border the line between architecture and visual art.

Artists such as Do Ho Suh, Tino Sehgal, Laurie Anderson, and many more cross these various boundaries.
