Endurance and Will Pay Off!

After wishing them Bon Appetit, Jeff leaves. Rob shrugs and says you win some, you lose some. As they watch Rupe enjoy his steak and multiple glasses of beer, Jenna complains about Shii-Ann?s obnoxious comments about the steak. Rupe says he?s drinking beer for Tom, but Tom is not happy and complains about his cold potatoes. The tribemates urge Rupe to keep drinking, for as long as he does, they can stay where it?s warm.

Several of the women use their napkins as pillows and catnap.

Back in camp, Rob talks about who Rupe trusts, and believes it is himself and Amber, to some degree.

Day 29 is overcast, but the tribemates do their laundry and talk about each other. Rupe and Shii-Ann discuss Rob and she warns Rupe to beware of Rob. She also tells him that unnamed people would switch their votes if there was a majority. Tom and Alicia agree that they want Rupe off before Shii-Ann and agree to stick together. Rob wonders if Shii-Ann gets immunity, who will they vote off from the original Chapera team. Shii-Ann wants to talk with Alicia, who refuses, telling her the game plan is already set.

More than ever, Shii-Ann has to win the Immunity Challenge. The challenge is a fairly simple one of endurance. With an arm tethered by a chain to a bucket of water over their heads, with very little slack in the chain, all the Survivors have to do is outwait each other. Amber and Jenna are quickly doused and out of the game, followed by Tom, and thirty minutes later, Alicia.

The rain comes again. Rob starts to fidget, scratching at his arm, and it?s down to Rupe and Shii-Ann. Jenna mouths ?Don?t giver up,? to Rupe, but at two hours, he wiggles and is out of the game. Shii-Ann, who has remained calm, still and facing away from the others, wins Immunity. The last member of the original Mogo Mogo tribe outlasted the others and won her craved immunity.

With a shout for joy, and exulting that she did it, Shii-Ann annoys Alicia who warns her that she still has to go back to camp and live with the others. Shii-Ann tears up when Jeff tells her she has a 1 in 6 shot at the million dollars. Rob scowls.

Day 30 is a little sunnier. Shii-Ann apologizes, saying she didn?t mean to gloat at winning immunity, but Alicia will have none of it. Shii-Ann says she loves to see the Chaboga Mogos squirming at having to vote off one of their own. She mentions Alicia, Rob and Rupe as stupid, stupid players, but later talks with Rupe and pushes him to get rid of Rob, the ?kingpin.?

For his part, Rob is busy talking to the others, targeting Alicia. He wonders which alliance he should stick with: the old one of Rupe, Jenna, Amber and himself, or a new one with Tom, Alicia and Shii-Ann. He and Amber cuddle, but they?ve each privately voiced their doubts about each other. Amber says that Rob trusts her even when she?s lying. Rob says that she trusts him completely, even if he doesn?t trust her.

At the Tribal Council that evening, Lex and Kathy observe as Jeff reminds the Survivors that they may have no communication with the jury. He questions the tribemates about the last several days. He tells Shii-Ann she?s been very vocal, creating an ?island for herself.? Rupe admits to feeling targeted. In fact, he?s brought all his possessions with him to the Council. Alicia says the game is on. When asked, Shii-Ann says there?s been no power shift, that there is no one in a leadership position. Jenna disagrees, saying there are secrets, but no one wants her to know what they are. Rob confesses he?s feeling vulnerable and Shii-Ann keeps the Immunity Necklace as the voting begins.

Only Rob shows his vote for Alicia, as he tells he?s waited for 27 days to tell her goodbye in many language. When Jeff reads the votes, Alicia is blindsided by the 6-1 vote against her. She?s the only one who voted for Rupe, the first vote he?s gotten to date.

Shii-Ann smiles as Alicia leaves the Tribal Council, saying "Now I sit on the Jury, and believe me, when I have to decide who actually gets the million dollars, I'm not going to make it easy."
