How to Get Whiter Fingernails
- 1). Remove all polish with nail polish remover and a cotton ball.
- 2). File the surface of the nails gently, removing the thin yellow top surface.
- 3). File the top of each nail with a three-in-one buffer. Smooth the nail surface with Side No. 1. Buff each nail surface with the finer No. 2 surface. Press the No. 3 side on each nail surface, buffing light and fast.
- 4). Mix 2 1/2 tablespoons of baking soda and a tablespoon of 3-percent hydrogen peroxide in a plastic bowl. Alternatively, you can make a paste of baking soda with white vinegar.
- 5). Press the paste firmly under the tip of every nail using a cotton ball. Rub the mixture on the surface of every nail.
- 6). Allow the paste to set for five minutes.
- 7). Rinse the paste off with warm water.
- 8). Massage a quality moisturizer into the nails and hands.
- 9). Brush a clear base coat on the nails before painting to prevent nails from turning yellow.
