Liquid Repair for Cat Scratches on Leather
- 1). Clean the scratched area of your leather with mild soap and lukewarm water. Scrub the scratch gently with a soft cloth. Allow the cleaned area to dry.
- 2). Wipe the scratched area with an alcohol pad.
- 3). Apply a sub-patch to areas in which your cat has scratched deep holes. Apply sub-patches to the underside of the permeated leather so that they cover the holes in their entirety.
- 4). Apply a thin layer of leather cement or desired adhesive to the scratched leather surface. Smooth the liquid over the scratch using a putty knife. Allow the area to dry completely.
- 5). Gently wipe the area with an alcohol pad or sandpaper to smooth over uneven areas of your desired liquid repair agent.
- 6). Apply color finish such as a leather-safe paint to the repair. Cover the repaired area completely so that it matches the rest of your leather material.
