• The Belstar broccoli produces the best yield in the spring and the fall, but also produces during the summer months as well as winters in Davie. • Organic Lettuce Delicate produces large, delicate leaves with an oak-like shape. The leaves are tender and lime green with good tolerance to heat. This lettuce was awarded as an All-America Selection. Organic zucchini plants found in Davie include the medium grey-green Italian variety. They do not produce the same yield as hybrid zucchini plants, but they are more flavorful and have a good texture. Italian zucchini can be eaten uncooked or cooked.
  
  

Melon

• The Colorado heirloom muskmelon called Edens Gem or Rocky Ford is grown organically in Davie. It produces a popular fruit with green flesh and a netted rind. The melon is valued for its sweet flavor, firmness and smoothness. These muskmelons grow to 2 to 3 lbs.
  
  

Garlic

• German Extra-Hardy garlic is an easy variety to grow. It produces white, large bulbs with four or five cloves. The skin on the cloves is a dark red color. This organically grown garlic is tolerant to winter and stores well. Elephant garlic, also produced organically, produces very large, mild cloves that can be cooked and added to vegetable dishes or sliced into salads.
