How to Make Burdock Root Oil Extract
- 1). Rinse off any dirt from the burdock root and pat dry.
- 2). Chop the root into small pieces. The pieces can be between a quarter to half an inch wide.
- 3). Place the chopped root in the glass jar. Add enough oil to cover the pieces and put on the lid.
- 4). Put the jar in a dark cabinet or closet if using dry burdock. If using fresh burdock, refrigerate the contents to avoid the growth of the bacteria that cause botulism.
- 5). Strain out the root pieces when ready to use the oil. The burdock root will continue to infuse the oil for as long as it remains in the oil.
