How to Clean the Sole Plate of a Rowenta Iron
- 1). Dampen a soft, cotton cloth. Squeeze to remove excess moisture.
- 2). Turn the Rowenta iron off after use and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- 3). Allow the iron to cool slightly, so it is still warm, but not too hot to touch.
- 4). Wipe the soleplate quickly to remove residue and buildup.
- 1). Purchase a Rowenta soleplate cleaning kit.
- 2). Turn the iron off. Unplug it from the electrical outlet. Allow the iron to cool slightly, so it is still warm, but not too hot to touch.
- 3). Apply a 2-inch squirt of the cleaning cream to the cleaning cloth. The cleaning cloth is the white cloth in the Rowenta iron cleaning kit.
- 4). Rub the cream onto the warm iron. Continue rubbing until the entire surface has been coated with a thin layer. The heat of the iron will remove most of the cleaner. This may produce a steamy or smoke-like appearance, which is completely normal.
- 5). Polish the iron with the grey finishing cloth to remove all remaining cleaning residue.
