    • 1). Spray aerosol hairspray onto the marker stain. Allow it to sit on the stain for a few minutes. If you do not have hairspray, use aerosol Lysol as a substitute.

    • 2). Scrub the stain with a clean, white cloth. Scrub hard enough to remove the marker but not so hard that you destroy the fabric. If the marker stain is large, be sure to switch to clean parts of the cloth while scrubbing to avoid spreading the marker further onto the fabric.

    • 3). Wipe the area with a damp cloth to remove any marker and/or hairspray residue. Repeat the process until the marker stain is gone.

    • 4). Dampen a soft white cloth with a clear type of alcohol, such as vodka, if the stain persists. Blot the stain gently with the alcohol until the marker has completely lifted. You can also use rubbing alcohol if you would prefer. Wipe the area with a damp cloth once the stain has lifted.

    • 5). Blot the marker stain with a baby wipe as an alternative method for cleaning marker from microfiber furniture. Blot the marker gently with the wipe. Avoid rubbing or you may spread the marker to other parts of the fabric.

    • 6). Try baking soda as yet another method for removing marker from microfiber. Combine 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water into a bowl to form a thick paste. Apply the paste to the marker stain with your fingers. Allow it to sit on the stain for a few minutes, and wipe clean with a damp rag.
