How to Send Text Messages to People's Cell Phone Online
- 1). Open and log in to your instant messaging program.
- 2). Start a new instant message.
- 3). Type the person's phone number in the "To" box. For AIM, you must include a "+1." All programs need the area code with the phone number.
- 4). Type a brief messge.
- 5). Click "Send."
- 1). Open your web Email or Email program.
- 2). Start a new, blank Email.
- 3). Type the recipient's phone number with the area code in the "To" section.
- 4). Type the "@" sign after the phone number.
- 5). Type the recipient's wireless carrier's special suffix after the "@" sign.
Major carrier suffixes:
Sprint - @messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile - @tmomail.net
Virgin - @vmobl.com
Verizon - @vtext.com
AT&T - @txt.att.net - 6). Give the message a subject.
