How to Get Rid of a Clog
- 1). Pour 1/2 cup baking soda down your drain to deodorize.
- 2). Pour 1/2 cup vinegar into the drain, too. This will instantly cause a foam reaction with the baking soda that will work down the drain and break up the clog.
- 3). Pour 1 gallon boiling water into your drain to flush out the residue.
- 4). Plunge the drain vigorously with either your household plunger or a small sink plunger. Pour 1 gallon boiling water down the drain to wash down the residue.
- 5). Push a pipe snake into the drain to break up tougher buildup. Rinse the drain when finished with hot water.
