Can You Get Pregnant During Any Time of the Month?

There is some debate about when you can get pregnant.
Some people will tell you that you can get pregnant any time you have intercourse.
Other people will tell you that you can only get pregnant if you have sex around ovulation.
Some will say you need to have sex every other day if you want to get pregnant.
While others say you should have sex as much as possible to get pregnant.
With all this information, it is no wonder people get confused about when and how you can get pregnant.
You can only conceive if you have intercourse when there is an egg and sperm present at the same time.
Sperm is readily available.
Any time a man ejaculates he has the ability to get a woman pregnant provided that he is healthy and doesn't have fertility issues.
A woman, on the other hand, does not always have an egg readily available.
She only releases one egg per month and that egg only stays around for about 12 to 24 hours.
If that is the case, why do you hear that any time you have sex you can get pregnant? The reason why you may have been cautioned is because predicting ovulation (the release of an egg) is tricky.
If you are trying to avoid pregnancy you should play it safe and consider any time an unsafe time.
Women do not have a set time each month for when they will ovulate.
A woman with a regular cycle may have an expected ovulation date, but the exact time she will ovulate can vary from cycle to cycle and she may not ovulate when she expects to.
Things like stress, nutrition, and age can all affect when she will ovulate.
There is just no way to guarantee when ovulation will occur.
If you are trying to avoid, following the rule that any time is a good time to get pregnant will keep you from having an unwanted pregnancy.
However, if you are trying to conceive, you will want to optimize your chances of conception by timing intercourse to take place close to ovulation.
In order to do this it is helpful to know when you will ovulate.
As stated earlier, ovulation prediction is tricky but you can get an idea of when you will ovulate by using an ovulation calendar.
An ovulation calendar will tell you when you will most likely ovulate based on your cycle length.
You simply put in the date of your last period and the calendar will tell you your fertile days, when you should start using an ovulation test (if you want to improve your chances even more), and some will even tell you when to have sex to conceive a specific gender.
