Powerleveling a Draenei - A Guide For Warcraft Alliance Characters
If you have just started your first Draenei character in Warcraft you will probably want to power level them as quickly as possible.
Here are the first steps to get you started.
Your starting area is a crash site, and directly in front of you will be a character called Megalon.
If you "right click" on him a text box opens detailing a quest he would like you to perform.
This is a simple "take a message" quest.
Read the dialogue box and click the button at the bottom to accept the quest.
Now walk down the hill to find the character that now has a yellow question mark hovering over them.
If you go up to this character and right click on the, another dialogue box opens allowing you to complete the quest.
Giving you your first reward and experience points.
Well done! You are on your way.
There are two more quests available in this small area.
Click on the characters with the yellow exclamation marks over them (!) and they will offer you tasks in the same way as Megalon.
Accept these quests.
Now you are into action.
The quests are to kill 8 volatile mutations and collect 8 vials of moth's blood from the Vale Moths you will see behind you.
Now, remember.
To attack simply left click on the mob (monster) you want to attack.
You may need to be right up close to them if you do not have ranged weapons.
Also make sure you are facing them.
If you have a ranged weapon such as a magic bolt or a bow or gun then you can stand back and fire.
Every class starts off with at least one "special" attack.
Normally mapped to key "2" on your keyboard, or accessed by pressing the second icon from the left on the GUI at the bottom of your screen.
These are much stronger attacks but take a few seconds to recharge Remember to use your basic attack while you are waiting for your special attack to recharge! Killing the eight volatile mutations is easy enough.
However to get the moths blood you need to loot the moths you kill.
Right click on a dead moth and a window will pop up with the loot you can take.
Left click on the items you want.
Early in the game loot everything.
You can sell it all to vendors in the ship behind you, and you need all the gold you can get.
Mobs you can loot have "sparkles" above them.
Dead mobs that do not have sparkles have either been killed by another player (you cannot loot other players kills) or have already been looted.
Remember, to advance you need in game currency, so to begin with lot everything until your backpack is full and you have the 8 vials of moths blood.
Return to the quest givers near the ship behind you, right click on them, read the text and press the button at the bottom of the text box to complete the quest.
You will now be level 2 (possibly close to level 3).
There will be a quest giver near who will direct you to your class trainer.
Your class trainer will teach you new powers, and improve your existing ones.
But first you will need some gold (or this early in the game copper).
Check around inside the ship for characters that display a bag of anvil icon when you hover the mouse over them.
These are vendors.
If you go up to one and click on them, a dialogue window will open allowing you to sell the items you don't need.
With this copper visit your class trainer and buy the advanced skills he is offering.
Back outside; find characters with yellow exclamation marks over them.
Accept the quests they offer.
Hand finished quests in to characters with yellow question marks above them.
Quests reward you with gold, experience points, and items you can equip yourself with that improve your skills.
Completing quests is by far the most efficient and fastest way to powerlevel in Warcraft.
