Recovering From Injury Through Yoga Designed For Jocks

Many years ago I suffered debilitating injuries from a car accident.
I tore ligaments in my jaw, neck and hip which rendered me disabled.
Previous to my accident I was an avid athlete and gym goer.
Post accident, I could hardly hold my head up or engage in activities.
And then I found yoga.
I could finally move again, but it wasn't until Yoga for Jocks ("Joga") that I physically and mentally transformed.
Although my ligaments will never heal, my musculature has taken over the laxity of my connective tissues and I am strong and fit now - more than ever! Joga is a highly specialized athletic training program but! don't fear the description if you're not an athlete.
Joga is different than regular yoga because it is designed for tight muscles and/or injuries which athletes typically suffer from, but its available to almost anyone as poses can be modified to adjust for different levels of strength and ability.
Joga's cues are the same in every session which helps build body awareness and the ability to begin engaging muscle groups assisting the effectiveness of any activity.
Joga is comprised of 4 segments that are interchangeable based on a person's needs.
They include (in short): segment one - heat building sequence used as active recovery or functional warm up and you best believe you'll sweat! Its a ton of fun with an impressively challenging twist, segment two - core activation and non reactivity to help you properly engage and develop a strong core while building tolerance and acceptance for the body's physical demand, segment three - balance and breath work with core integration to find stability in balancing poses, core integration and movement, segment four - active stretching to lengthen muscles and avoid pulling, stretching or damaging soft tissues like tendons and ligaments.
Joga's segments/sequences are always the same so you can measure your progress as you move forward in your program.
It is ideally done twice per week for two months to realize the full mental and physical benefits of the program! You'll feel like a machine by the end of it and what ever activities you may engage in will be enhanced by Joga's exceptional results including injury prevention, rehabilitation, conditioning, breath work, mind/body awareness, core conditioning and more! My past has given me understanding of the body, mind imbalances that occur with injury.
I encourage commitment to offer the body an opportunity to grow stronger and to prove to oneself that anything is possible.
I train many teams/athletes/individuals including football, soccer, curling, hockey, ski and basketball.
Through Joga they have realized fast and outstanding results that have lead to better performance in training and competition.
