Wedding Rehearsal Gift Ideas

    For Her

    • Show your gratitude to the women who helped you plan your wedding and supported you through this exciting and stressful time in your life. Give your bridesmaids a silver-plated jewelry box, compact mirror or flask engraved with their names. You can also give them matching jewelry that they can wear during the ceremony. If you have a large budget, give each woman a strand of pearls. For brides on a tighter budget, give a pendant necklace, beaded necklace, earrings or bracelets.

Let the mother of the bride, mother of the groom and any other female family member who helped with the wedding planning -- such as an aunt who made your wedding cake -- know how special they are to you. Choose a special piece of jewelry that caters to their particular tastes, or have a heartfelt sentiment engraved on a jewelry box or compact mirror.

    For Him

    • The groom should recognize his groomsmen's support and participation in the wedding with a gift. Give the male wedding participants silver cufflinks, pocket watches, money clips or utility knives. For less formal presents, give personalized beer glasses, shot glasses, pilsner glasses, tankards or engraved flasks. Cigar humidors are appropriate gifts as well.

Show your appreciation to the father of the bride, father of the groom and any other important male family member -- such as a favorite uncle -- with gifts that stand out from the rest. Give them individualized cufflinks, a bottle of aged liquor or get a short, personal message engraved onto their pocket watch or flask.

    For Children

    • The wedding rehearsal dinner also includes children involved in the wedding, such as a flower girl and ring bearer. You don't want to leave these kids out of the gift giving. For very young ring bearers, give a pewter coin bank in the shape of a train, fire truck or bulldozer. To make the gift special, have the child's name engraved on it. You can also give him a silver plated yo-yo or harmonica. If your ring bearer is an older boy, he might enjoy a utility knife or cufflinks.

Thank your flower girl for participating in your wedding by giving her a silver plated yo-yo, harmonica, trinket box with her name on it or flavored lip gloss. You can also give her a pewter coin bank in the shape of an animal, heart or flower. Older flower girls would enjoy the same gifts as the bridesmaids.
