The idea of a grand honeymoon soon after a couple marries is on every woman's list of things to remember for the rest of her life.
She takes some time away from the "real world" and gets to know her new husband better and this is an important time to bond.
A honeymoon should be a time away from the hustle and bustle of life in a setting that inspires great memories and that will last a forever and be relayed to friends and family alike.
Here are some of the more popular honeymoon destinations in no particular order: 1.
The dream destination of the Caribbean is made up of a few small nations, these are the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Aruba.
There are more, but these are the most popular for both cost and scenery.
The Caribbean is sandwiched in between North America and South America and mostly in the Gulf of Mexico.
The general climate is tropical most of the time during the year so any plans should include clothing for that condition and they all have tons of virtually endless beaches, fine first class dining, and unparalleled luxury five star hotels.
The Caribbean also has some of the most beautifully breathtaking sunsets found anywhere.
At the top of the list, the Bahamas and Aruba are the two most popular Caribbean destinations with Jamaica and the Dominican Republic coming in third and fourth respectively.
Getting to these destinations by cruise ship is both easy and the best way to having a long remembered honeymoon.
2.
The Hawaiian Islands conjure up pictures of white sandy beaches, beautiful waves, and fun in the sun.
Hawaii is a dream destination for many and a honeymoon vacation to this paradise is one way of ensuring a great time..
Hawaii has a handful of islands, but there are really only six that are open to tourists and suitable for honeymooning couples: O'ahu (called The Gathering Place), Moloka'i (named The Friendly Isle), Hawaii (The Big Island), Kaua'i (appropriately called The Garden Isle), Maui (my favorite is named The Valley Isle), Ni'ihau (The Distant Isle), and Lana'i (The Secluded Island, sounds romantic, no?).
Flying to this destination is really the only option unless you own a boat.
3.
Las Vegas: Las Vegas is hailed as the gambling capital of the world is so much more because the gambling is only part of the thrill of this desert city.
If you are feeling nostalgic you might remember that Elvis was married in Las Vegas, so it might be considered the place the "King" got hitched.
Las Vegas has it all as far as theme oriented luxury hotels, first class dining, and world caliber entertainment so it is a good choice for those who are a budget or dislike flying and the hassle that goes with that.
The best part is that you can drive to Las Vegas or better yet take a train in a sleeper car.
