Skywalker Family Tree
Members of the Skywalker family are the heroes of Star Wars in the Prequel Trilogy and beyond. The Skywalker line began with Shmi Skywalker, a slave on Tatooine, who conceived a child under mysterious circumstances -- perhaps by the will of the Force. Her son, Anakin Skywalker, became one of the most powerful Jedi ever known.
Because the Jedi Order forbade attachment, Anakin married Padmé Amidala in secret.
She died in childbirth, and her twin children, Luke and Leia, were adopted.
Leia grew up as the child of Queen Breha of Alderaan and Bail Organa, her prince consort. She later became a leader in the Rebel Alliance and married the former smuggler Han Solo. They had three children: the twins Jaina and Jacen, and their younger brother Anakin. After Jacen's death, they adopted his daughter Allana.
Luke grew up on Tatooine, raised by his father's step-brother Owen and his wife Beru. He went on to become a Jedi Master and refound the Jedi Order. He married Mara Jade, the former Emperor's Hand. They had one child, Ben.
The exact generations and characters between Ben Skywalker and Cade Skywalker, the protagonist of Star Wars: Legacy, are as yet unknown.
It's possible that the Solo family continues with the characters Roan and Marasiah Fel in Star Wars: Legacy. The Fel line descends from Jagged Fel, Jaina Solo's fiancé in Fate of the Jedi. This connection has not yet been confirmed.
