- 1). Remove the coffee basket.
- 2). Unscrew the spray head located above the basket holder and set it aside.
- 3). Insert all but two inches of the Bunn de-liming tool into the spray head tube. Depending on the level of calcification, insertion may require a great deal of force.
- 4). Slide the tool back and forth five or six times to loosen any lime deposits and then remove carefully.
- 5). Replace the coffee basket and place the coffee pot underneath it.
- 6). Fill the reservoir with bottled or purified water.
- 7). Run the water through the coffee maker without the spray head to clear any loose deposits from the system.
- 8). Inspect the spray head. If the holes appear clogged, clean the holes with a toothpick.
- 9). Hold the spray head underneath a running faucet and inspect the water flow out of the spray head.

Soak the spray head in white vinegar for 30 minutes to remove any internal deposits, if water does not flow out of the spray head evenly. - 11
Repeat Step 9 to rinse the spray head and check for improvement in water flow. - 12
Remove the coffee basket and replace the spray head after flushing the system.
