Who is Saito in the movie Inception?
Christopher Nolan's Inception has a very important character by the name Saito. Saito plays the role of a businessman and a tourist in the movie. He is an extremely powerful man in the movie with an evil plan on his mind.
Saito approaches Cobb for the job in exchange of a very valuable reward. He tells Cobb that if he gets a particular job done, he will help him get rid of his murder charges and will help him get back with his family in America. Saito is portrayed as a tourist in the movie because he is not an expert in any other field apart from business. Saito wants Cobb to extract certain pieces of information from his business rival's mind by a process which is called Inception. Saito's role in the movie has been played by Ken Watanabe.
He appoints Cobb and his team to sedate Fischer and get him into a dream state, while he's on a 10 hour flight to Los Angeles. When Cobb uses his PASIV device to sedate themselves and Fischer, Saito goes into the dream state with them to the New York dream.
When they enter the New York dream, they find that Fischer has already appointed subconscious fighters to fight people like Cobb and his team who basically work as extractors. Extractors bring Saito to a warehouse where they try to keep him alive.
In the hotel dream, Saito simply watches normally as he is now in the second layer. He doesn't feel much pain and doesn't have blood on him. He learns that Eames has the ability to forge and hence gets confused of Peter Browning.
Towards the end of the film, Cobb helps Saito get out of the Limbo state after which Saito helps Cobb as per the agreement. He helps Cobb get to his family with a single phone call. Cobb reaches home and uses his tottem to examine reality, but he gets distracted by his children. The movie ends with the top spinning, while makes it unclear if he's still in the dream world!
