How to Remove Heat Stains From Polished Wood
- 1). Mix together equal parts of baking soda and white, non-gel toothpaste in a small cup to form a paste. Apply a thick layer of the mixture directly onto the heat stains with your finger.
- 2). Dampen a clean cloth with water and rub the cloth onto the paste. Rub the paste in a circular motion for several minutes to make sure the paste is absorbing into the stain. Stop rubbing once the paste feels warm.
- 3). Wipe off the paste with a damp cloth and dry the area with a dry cloth. Repeat the process until the stains are completely gone. Spray furniture polish on the area to add shine and protect the wood from scratches and stains.
