How to Kill Aggressive Honey Bees
- 1). Seal up places on the exterior of your home that would make a hospitable environment for bees. Caulk any holes outside your home that is larger than an eighth of an inch. Place screens over vents, utility boxes, water spouts and tree cavities.
- 2). Purchase honeybee traps to hang near their nests. Inspect your yard for their nests to know where to hang up the traps. Bee traps release a pheromone that entice the bee to make its home in the trap.
- 3). Spray the trap with an insecticide and replace the trap weekly. Choose a time to change the trap when the weather is cool and at night.
- 4). Find the nests and spray them with a pesticide like Bee Freeze. To be extra cautious, you may need to wear a bee suit and mask to reduce the risk of getting stung. For nests that are beyond your reach, use an aerosol pole to hole the spray and pull the string to release the chemicals.
- 5). Remove the nests when you are sure that the bees are dead. Monitor the nest for swarms or any signs of life. If you do not remove a nest inside you home, the smell of the decaying honey will fill up your house. Burn the nests after removal.
