When the yeast is not treated for a long time, the symptoms will aggravate sometime resulting in discharge or stinging smell and the pains too can increase. If you are observing the symptoms of thrush, consult a doctor to know whether the thrush is the cause of the symptoms, who will prescribe a course of treatment you should follow. The options that exist today are cheap, healthy and natural which will completely do away with the infection and stop the leading cause regardless of how severe or where it is located.

1. The first garlic remedy for a yeast infection is the easiest. All you will need for this remedy is a peeled garlic clove. All you will need to do is insert the peeled clove into your vagina. This should be repeated every few hours until the infection clears up.

2. The next home remedy is another one that has reportedly worked wonders. Yogurts or curds are very effective, and it is advised by many to soak a tampon in yogurt or curds and insert it into the infected area for around an hour. The bacteria found in the yogurt will naturally replace the infected yeast bacteria, thus aiding in the healing of a yeast infection. Repeat this process 2-3 times per day until the infection heals itself.

3. The bottle's vapors can also be sniffed or inhaled. In addition, a few drops of the oil can be mixed with calendula cream or tea tree oil cream and rubbed on the chest before bedtime. Since there is no toxicity use as much as you feel your child needs to overcome the illness. If your child starts to smell a bit too much like an all-dressed pizza, eucalyptus and peppermint oils can be mixed with oregano oil to disguise the distinctive odor.

4. You can also use this remedy with cheesecloth. This method has you wrap the garlic clove in the cheesecloth and then insert into the vagina. This method allows you to leave some of the cheesecloth hanging out like that of a tampon string. Obviously this allows for easier removal and reduces the risk of losing the garlic all together.

5. Cease eating foods that contain yeast. If you take nutritional brewer's yeast, stop immediately. Hold off on breads and yeast-based products like bread, vinegar, cheese and alcohol. These counteract the effects of introducing friendly bacteria because they introduce more yeast.

6. Break out a bottle of hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is both antifungal and antibacterial because it releases oxygen as it works. Most yeast infections clear up when you apply it directly. If you have thrush, a form of yeast infection in the mouth, gargle with hydrogen peroxide.

7. Oil of oregano can be used topically for home remedies to cure yeast infections and itches or infections of the skin, gums, teeth, and just about any orifice in the body. Exercise care if you use it in the genital region, where it is best mixed with olive oil or coconut oil before application (1 drop per teaspoon of olive oil or coconut oil/butter).
