A recent study commissioned by the Commonwealth "RusBrand" revealed that nine major product categories (alcohol, sanitary napkins, medicines, perfumes, cosmetics, sports clothing and footwear, tobacco, tea, coffee, detergents) the proportion of counterfeit products in 2011. 24% of the total turnover of retail trade. The share of counterfeit tea for the last two years has decreased, and this positive trend continues, experts say.

If we talk about the counterfeit case, it is mainly in this market there are violations of intellectual property rights, and as such is not the substitution of raw materials of the product, told RBC General Director of the Russian Association of Tea and Coffee. He pointed out that tea - one of the most economical types of plant products, and herbs that can be collected in large volumes, would cost much more than tea raw materials. In the world there is practically no ingredients of plant origin, similar to tea, and which are cheaper than tea, the expert explains.

But to enjoy such a rosy picture at first glance, the tea world prematurely. Unfortunately, the situation can change quickly. Now, many economists and experts scare us the coming world crisis. And if it does happen, the new extreme conditions, the company will seek by all means and ways to cut costs to survive. Indeed, the main principle of the market - takes a cheap and sell expensive. And the consumer in such a situation will always be a loser, choosing from a very bad product just bad.

WHAT IS TO BE FEARED?

Today, almost everyone encounters in daily life with a fake or counterfeit products. Many buyers do not dwell on this, but it should be. The most famous blend of tea in the world - "English Breakfast" - a mix of varieties of Indian and Ceylon tea, which implies the flavor and aroma, the corresponding standard. But we should not deceive ourselves - blending the technology falsification still exists, especially on the tea-packing factories, where there is still lack of control over production.

However, all adulterated teas, having apparently indistinguishable from the real signs of tea, perfectly defined by the complete lack of taste and flavor. They are usually found in food service establishments, transportation, where the tea consumer does not impose any special requirements, and where his familiarity with adulterated drink is episodic in nature. Often it is left without any negative effects, except for a small and spoiled the mood of losing money.

Experts agree that now the Russian tea market is stable, highly saturated.
