How to Get Exploration Achievements in "Starcraft II"
- You will earn "Challenge Accepted" by completing any three challenges with a bronze ranking or better. Unlock "Custom Game Novice" by winning three custom games against the game's artificial intelligence (AI). You can earn "Cooperative Novice" by winning three cooperative matches. You will earn the "Medal of Combat" achievement by unlocking all four other Guide One achievements. Unlock the Tiger Marine portrait by unlocking "Medal of Honor." Portraits in "StarCraft II" are displayed on your player profile and are purely aesthetic.
- Unlock "Challenge Accepted, Too!" by completing any six challenges with a bronze ranking or better. You will earn "Custom Game Protoss," "Custom Game Terran" and "Custom Game Zerg" by winning three custom games with each available faction. Unlock "Qualified for Action" by completing five quick matches. You can unlock "Medal of Valor" when the other five Guide Two achievements are unlocked. You will earn the Panda Marine portrait for getting this achievement.
- You can earn "Challenge Completed" by completing all nine challenges with a bronze ranking or better. By watching any Battle.net replay you earn "Play Replay." A replay is game footage created by a player using the built-in recording feature. You unlock "Free-for-All Crusher" for killing 100 units in Free-for-All quick matches. This can be done over multiple matches. You will unlock "Flying Solo" for winning five quick matches in the one versus one (1v1) league. You earn "That's Teamwork" for winning five quick matches in the team league. Unlock "Medal of Honor" by unlocking the other five Guide Three achievements. The Wolf Marine portrait is unlocked for getting this achievement.
- There are 28 Challenges section exploration achievements. All nine challenges have three achievements each. You can earn an achievement by getting a bronze, silver or gold rating on each achievement. For example, the challenges for the "Tactical Command" challenge are "Tactical Command: Bronze," "Tactical Command: Silver" and "Tactical Command: Gold."
The "Solid Gold" achievement does not require getting all 27 other achievements in this section. You only need to get "Tactical Command: Gold," "Path of Ascension: Gold," "For the Swarm: Gold," "Covert Ops: Gold," "Psionic Assault: Gold," "Zerg Infestation: Gold," "Harbinger of Death: Gold," "Opening Gambit: Gold" and "Rush Defense: Gold" to unlock this achievement. The Spectre portrait is unlocked when you get "Solid Gold."
