Baskets

• Baskets, hampers, wash buckets, wagons or any other large container can serve as the perfect beginning to create a gift basket for the twins. Fill the basket with blankets, stuffed animals, toys, bottles and other baby items. Add two of each item, but not identical items. For example, include one light pink shirt and one dark pink shirt so each of the girls has something slightly different. If you want to get the shirts in the same color, add the girls' names or initials.
  
  

Clothes and Blankets

• Baby clothes and blankets can be personalized by adding a monogram, initials or the first name of each baby on his shirt. Some shirts already have phrases specific to twins such as "Twice as nice," "Double the trouble," "Two cute" or "Yes, we're twins." Jackets, sweaters, onesies, T-shirts, rompers, bibs, hats and bathrobes can all be personalized. If you enjoy sewing, knitting or crocheting, make a blanket or articles of clothing for the babies.
  
  

Keepsakes

• Teddy bears, elephants or other stuffed animals can be personalized for each child with tags or bows. Decorative baby blocks, keepsake boxes or piggy banks can have the names and birthdays of the twins inscribed. Photo albums, baby books and picture frames are other options. Keepsake kits for capturing the babies' footprints and hand prints may be a big hit with mom and dad.
  
  

For the Parents

• T-shirts or sweatshirts can be made for the mom and dad stating "Proud parents of twins" or a similar sentiment. Coffee mugs with a picture of the babies may be appreciated, especially during the infant stage when the parents are likely to need lots of caffeine. Jewelry is another option for the parents. Necklaces, rings or key rings can be personalized with charms containing the children's names, birthstones or both.
