A very brief summary of the Canaries.
Over the past few years I have privileged enough to have holidayed in the Canary Islands.
The canary Islands consist of 7 inactive volcanic islands located just off the north west coast of Africa in the Atlantic ocean (the sea is warm though!).
The islands belong to Spain and although part of the European Union, avoid various European custom/duty charges.
I have visited 3 of the 4 bigger Islands - Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuertaventura but have yet to visit Lanzarote.
Hopefully next year.
