Sign of the Cross

• 1). Touch your right index finger and thumb together to signify the two natures of Christ: human and divine. You can also touch your right index and middle fingers together.
  
  
• 2). Touch your forehead with the words "In the name of the Father." Touching your forehead signifies the top of the cross.
  
  
• 3). Touch your chest with the words "And of the Son." This signifies the bottom of the cross.
  
  
• 4). Touch your left shoulder. This signifies the left side of the cross.
  
  
• 5). Touch your right shoulder with the words "And of the Holy Spirit. Amen." This signifies the right side of the cross.
  
  

Gospel Sign of the Cross

• 1). Make a fist with your right hand and touch your thumb against the side of your index finger.
  
  
• 2). Use your thumb to make a small cross on your forehead with the words "May the Gospel be on our minds."
  
  
• 3). Make a small cross on your lips with the words "On our lips."
  
  
• 4). Make a small cross over your heart with the words "And in our hearts."
