How to Apply 3M Tape in the Cold
- 1). Clean off the area where you will be applying the tape. Wipe off any dust and debris until the surface is clean to the naked eye.
- 2). Dampen a new rag with water and wipe down the area once again. Scrub off any marks or dirt that still remain and dry off the area with a clean, dry rag.
- 3). Rip off a piece of tape the appropriate length for your particular application. Cut the tape off with a pair of scissors, if necessary, or rip it off by hand.
- 4). Put either end of the tape at the beginning of the desired location and push down on it. Run your hands over the entire piece of tape so it can adhere to the object. Move your hands back and forth over the tape and press down firmly until it is securely in place.
