For New AIM Users

• 1). Install AOL Instant Messenger from www.aim.com.
  
  
• 2). Run the AIM program. A screen will appear asking whether you wish to import buddies to your AIM buddy list by logging in to your email and searching among your contacts for other AIM users. Choose your email client from the list shown. Enter your email address and password.
  
  
• 3). Select the users you want to add to your buddy list and click "Import to AIM." From here, your imported buddies will appear on your buddy list. For friends that weren't found through import, you may also search for them specifically. Enter your friend's email address or name, then click "Search for Buddy".
  
  

For Current AIM Users

• 1). Open your AIM program and log in.
  
  
• 2). Open your buddy list, if it isn't already opened after logging in. Click Menu at the top of your buddy list, then scroll down to "Add To Buddy List".
  
  
• 3). Select whether you would like to use "Search For a Buddy" or "Import Buddies". With Search, you will need to enter your friend's name or email address. With Import, you will follow the same process as step 3 above.
