The standard term for normal vision is 20/20, which means your eyes can make out a spatial pattern that is spaced by a visual angle of 1 arc minute. The term 20/20 means that you can see a standard sized object at a specific distance. If you can see an object at 20 feet that can normally be seen at 20 feet by a person with good vision, you are said to have 20/20 vision. If you can see the object at 20 feet that a person with good eyesight can see at 40, then you have vision that is 20/40.
Pupil Test
Your eye professional most likely will check in this eye test to ensure your pupils are the same size (a difference of 1 mm or less is normal), their shape, how they react to light, as well as direct accommodation and consensual accommodation. She may do a swinging flashlight eye test if she thinks you may have neurologic damage. Normally, both of your pupils will constrict when one eye has light shined into it.
