How to Clean Glass Like a Pro
- 1). Give away your old glass cleaner! You won't want to use it anymore. If you have any special auto glass cleaner or mirror cleaner, you can give that away too!
- 2). Gather your cleaning tools. One bottle of 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol, one spray bottle and a roll of paper towels. Anything higher than 70% will evaporate far too quickly for glass cleaning use. Any spray bottle will work just fine. It should be one you won't use for anything else. Use paper towels over cloth towels to reduce lint and increase absorption.
- 3). Remove the cap from the rubbing alcohol. Remove the spray gun from the spray bottle. Screw the spray gun onto the bottle of rubbing alcohol. You are now armed with professional glass cleaner! What's great about this trick is it's a lot cheaper than glass cleaner. There are no fillers in this method either such as artificial coloring. This is how copy centers keep copying equipment free from grease smudges or streaks.
- 4). Spray glass with the rubbing alcohol spray bottle. Wipe down with paper towels from the bottom to the top. Once all the rubbing alcohol is absorbed, grab a fresh paper towel and wipe down once more. If there are any streaks, this means you didn't get all the yuck off the glass. Respray and wipe down again.
- 5). Keep cleaning! You will find your magic rubbing alcohol spray bottle does wonders on many surfaces that normally streak. Don't forget your mirrors!
