Teenage girls enthusiastically attend sleepover parties, knowing it is a chance to talk all night and bond with girlfriends. Although eating junk food, talking about boys and watching movies can be a good night, planning some games that can be done by all the guests means guaranteed memories and photo opportunities sure to make non-attendees jealous. Whether you set out to scare, entertain, beautify or inspire, your sleepover will be praised on everyone's Facebook status the next day.

    Otherworldly Fun

Teen girls love a good scare, and there are many different ways you can incorporate some spooky games in a sleepover. Start the evening with some tarot card readings or palm readings you can do yourself using easy guidebooks or free online websites. Refer to books like "The Secret Language of Birthdays: Teen Edition" by Alicia Thompson, Joost Eiffers and Gary Gold Schneider to find out what personalities traits and skills teen girls have based on birthdays, then move onto the classic sleepover game, "Light as a feather, stiff as a board...."

In this game, players surround one girl who lies down in the middle of the group on the floor. All girls kneel and lift the "dead" girl using just fingertips. Chant "Light as a feather, stiff as a board" while lifting, and the "spirits" will help elevate her body. Make the game more dramatic by starting the game out by asking one guest to create a story surrounding the chosen girl's early demise.

    Make Up Challenge

Makeovers at sleepover parties allow teen girls to try out the newest colors and application styles, but laughs will ensue when you add a challenging twist to this classic activity.

Pick up a variety of bright and vibrant "fashion" colors from your local drugstore or get samples from your catalog make-up sales person. Lay out all the makeup supplies on a bed, then set a timer for one minute and challenge each girl to do her make up without a mirror. Prizes can be given out for most garish, creative and perfectly applied makeup. Be sure to take lots of photos.

    Fashion Design

    • Shows like "Project Runway" inspire teen girls to take fashion risks, and you can help them channel inner designers with a fashion sleepover game. Pile up supplies like duct tape, newspaper, colored tissue paper, scissors, magazines and plastic container lids. Teens are broken into groups of two--one being the model, the other the designer--and given a time limit to create an outfit using the provided materials. Vote on the best outfits. Then the girls switch roles so everyone gets to design. Again, lots of photos will help save the outfits for posterity even after they are cut off the models.
