    • 1). Cut out a number "1" using construction paper or card stock. On the back of the number, write: "A whole year of non-stop fun, our little princess is turning one!" You can vary that by adding the child's name, or inserting anything that rhymes with "one." You can really get creative here. Write the party details in marker on the invitation and slip it into an envelope.

    • 2). Make copies of a favorite photograph of your daughter. On the back, write "Picture this! Annie's turning 1!" Variations of this text can include: "A picture-perfect party" or "Our picture-perfect princess is turning 1."

    • 3). Create outdoor-themed invitations if you are having your daughter's party outside. Using card stock or construction paper, cut out the shape of a pair of sunglasses or a sun for the invitation. Write: "Come join us outside in the sun, Hannah is turning one!" Other variations might be: "A party full of outdoor fun, our little angel is turning 1" or "The good times have just begun, Michelle is turning 1!"
