How to Clean an Ostrich Feather Duster
- 1). Fill one side of the sink with water and some mild soap.
- 2). Fill the other side of the sink or bucket with fresh, clean water.
- 3). Put the ostrich feathers into the soapy water, fully submerged.
- 4). Twirl the feathers around until most of the dust is off. You will know this because the water will turn a darker color.
- 5). Switch to the clear water. Repeat the same process in the clear water.
- 6). Run cool water over the feathers until the water runs clean of soap and dust.
- 7). Shake vigorously outside to remove as much moisture as possible.
- 8). Set the handle in the empty soda bottle, feathers up, to finish drying.
