Praying For Struggling Teens

103 7
When you have struggling teens in your church community, it may be difficult to know exactly how to reach out to them.
Teenagers in general like to keep to themselves, and are not always thrilled at the thought of sharing their personal problems with an adult.
Even if you are not a part of the everyday life of these kids, it is easy to show them you do care.
Let the troubled teens in your church family know that you are thinking of them through prayer, and you will begin to see wonderful results.
Show Your Support - If you let the teenagers know you are praying for them, it allows them to know that they are supported in whatever they may be going through.
Whether there is trouble at home, at school, or with friendships, put your arms around a fellow brother or sister in the Lord and show them how much you care.
Lift them up in prayer and they will feel your support for their troubles.
Draw Together a Community - Coming together in prayers always brings together a community of like minded people.
Whether you pray together in a group or on your own in your own space, there is a closeness that comes from knowing that others are carrying the same concerns that you are.
Consider praying for the teenagers at your church during a weekly prayer meeting, or at your weekly Bible Study group.
When more than one gathers for a cause, the results seem to be amplified.
Put Your Faith in the Lord - The best thing about reaching out to help others in need through prayer is that you are putting your own faith in God first.
Bring your troubles to Him, and also the troubles of the teens that you are concerned about.
Know that the Lord is faithful and will provide in any way He can for those in need.
It may not be in the way that is hoped, or in the timing that is desired, but prayers are always answered with a yes or a no.
Lift up your church's struggling teens and see how God works in their lives.
