PC Games That Support Xbox 360 Controllers

    • An unexpected blessing to PC gamers, the Xbox 360 provides those who prefer a mouse and keyboard with a functional alternative for games that don't necessarily require a full keyboard and mouse to play properly. Whether it is the wireless controller and receiver, or a wired controller you plug into your computer's USB port, there is an ever-growing number of PC games that take full advantage of the Xbox 360 controller.

Remember to look for games marked with the "Games for Windows" logo to ensure that your Xbox 360 controller will work with them.

    Resident Evil 4/Resident Evil 5

    • Both "Resident Evil 4" and "Resident Evil 5" allow for use of the Xbox 360 controller to control yourself in-game. However, unlike some other games that will detect the controller automatically, in "Resident Evil 4" you will have to manually assign commands to each button on the controller. This will take a few moments, but the end result is well worth it.

    Street Fighter IV

    • PC gamers have always shunned fighting games because they simply do not conform well to the mouse and keyboard set-up. With the Xbox 360 controller, games like "Street Fighter IV" become much easier to play as you can now control your characters with the same split-second precision you could on consoles or in the arcade.

    Dirt 2

    • "Dirt 2", a racing game from Codemasters, is more than capable of being played with the arrow keys on a keyboard. However, using a keyboard lacks the precision to make the sharp turns you need to take in order to reach the checkered flag. With the Xbox 360 controller connected to your PC, you can use the right-trigger for the gas while steering with the left thumbstick.

Oh, and the B button works as the brakes. You know, if you're into that sort of thing.
