My Experience and Solution to Hot Flashes and Menopause Systems

My experience with hot flashes: Just to thinking of hot flashes makes me laugh.
.
.
my story is this.
When I first experienced the electrifying internal combustion I did not identify this feeling as hot flashes resulting from menopause.
The occurrence was only at night and I thought I just had too much heat on in the house or my goose down was too heavy.
I would like try to describe to you this very foreign internal feeling in a way that will allow you to share in the experience.
Initially the warm internal feeling was a very subtle internal warmth the problem was that the temperature didn't stop at just warm.
I can remember being under the covers and feeling that it I did not remove them my body would literally burst into flames.
(LOL) As a matter of fact one night I deliberately did not remove the bed linen just to see how hot my body would get, was there an end point to the increase of this internal heat.
I touched my skin and I was hot to touch, beads of sweat began to stream down my face and trunk as if I was in a spinning class or running a marathon it was unbelievable "real heat".
I was so fascinated that I broke out in laughter over the cartoon image of my body turning blood red in color from heat.
Well being the wellness guru that I am I set out to do some research to answer the question "What is going on in terms of physiology to raise the body temperature to the point of sever perspiration?" I spent two months, on line in the book store, reading medical text.
All the information I came across only spoke of hormones levels but nothing talked about the chemical reactions that were occurring in my body to raise your body temperature.
I must admit that I was pretty perturbed.
I mean after all woman have been having this decline in hormones since we have been on the planet no one or shall I say no man, had any interest to ask the question "why?" So all you female gynecologist out their please let me her from you.
Meanwhile as I continued the research did some nutritional changes that I knew could lessen the intensity and frequency of my hot flashes.
I increased the frequency of taking my Omega 3 -6 and 9, I knew that hormones synthesis is greatly dependent on the essential fatty acids, (the good fats).
I also cut my coffee consumption from one cup a day to one cup on Sat and Sunday only I had notice that drinking a cup of coffee was definitely a trigger for a hot flash and stripping in public was not an option.
Also I cut down on my carbohydrate intake I replaced it with juicing vegetable and added a calcium and magnesium supplement.
These few changes did lessen the frequency but in no means did it free me.
It was during this research that I came across the information on bio-identical hormone therapist.
I spent the next month reading every thing I could find about these bio-identical hormones.
The short of it is that after blood test measuring your progesterone, estrogen and testosterone, yes ladies we have testosterone, a prescription is written and filled by a bio-chemical pharmacist These hormones patent the identical molecular structure as your hormones thus the name bio identical The last step was to consult a naturopathic (naturopathic medicine is based on the belief that the human body has an innate healing ability) health care provider.

My hot flashes didn't effect my energy I have heard that this can be an issue.
Because I am a wellness specialist, my body not feeling balanced was a big thing for me.
I can't remember the last time I even had a cold, I know I have not had one since I moved to NYC and I have been here for a years now as a matter of fact this is the first prescription I've ever taken.
Please keep in mind that because hormones levels are so individualized your experience could differ.
The hot flashes stopped 6 week into the treatment.
Since I have stopped my one cup of coffee a day I now I start my day with herbal tea generally oblong or green tea.
Thank you for allowing me to tell my story.
It was fun.
