    Roller Coasters

Batman and Superman have over 10 different coasters, including Batman: The Dark Knight and Superman: Ride of Steel. The Kingda Ka roller coaster at Six Flags: Great Adventure is one of the tallest and fastest in the world, with speeds of over 120 miles per hour. Wooden roller coasters are still operating at several of the parks and there is a wide selection of smaller children's coasters as well.

    Admission

    • One of the most popular Six Flags ticket options is the Season Pass. The pass costs around $70.00 depending where you purchase it, but it also allows you access to any Six Flags amusement park. Single day tickets average around $40.00. While in the park, visitors can purchase the "Flash Pass." The Flash Pass allow park visitors to skip lines by simply scanning their pass on a ride they want to go on. The Flash Pass tells them what time to return, and at that specified time they go to the front of the line. Prices vary for the Flash Pass, depending on the group size.

    Types

    • Six Flags theme parks are usually split into different sections and themes. Many of the parks have a superhero section featuring costumed superheroes. Looney Tunes is a big part of the Six Flags franchise and their characters will appear all around the park and in special children's sections as well. Other park themes include characters like "The Wiggles," "Thomas the Train" and "Terminator."

    Considerations

    • Many of the Six Flags amusement parks feature a water park attached or nearby. For visitors of certain parks, this water park is free with admission, adding value to tickets and season passes. The parks usually close during the winter months except for the weekends in October to celebrate Six Flags: Fright Fest. During Fright Fest, Six Flags theme parks are transformed into a haunted area with multiple haunted houses, decorations and contests. Throughout the season, Six Flags is also host to free concerts. Musical acts perform for free with a paid entry to the park.
