How to Clean a KitchenAid Blender
- 1). Turn off and unplug your KitchenAid countertop blender.
- 2). Disassemble the blender. Remove the jar from the base. Lift off the lid. If the lid has an ingredient cap in the center of the lid, grasp the cap, twist, and pull it from the lid. Unscrew the collar from the bottom of the jar (if applicable). Remove the blade assembly and sealing ring, which should fall off of the bottom of the jar once the collar is removed but might require a gentle push from the inside the jar. Lift the sealing ring from the blade assembly.
- 3). Wipe the base, console (buttons and panel), and electrical cord (excluding the plug) with a warm, soapy lint-free microfiber cloth. Rinse the base, console, and cord with a damp cloth to remove any soap residue and then wipe dry with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth.
- 4). Wash the jar, jar lid, blade assembly, sealing ring and collar (if applicable) by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse under tap water and wipe dry with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth.
- 5). Reassemble your blender by reversing the steps in Step 2 to disassemble. Place the sealing ring on the blade assembly, and then set the blade assembly and sealing ring back into the base of the jar. Screw the collar (if applicable) in place. Push the ingredient cap in the middle of the lid and twist to secure, and place the lid securely on the jar. When finished, set the jar back onto the base of your blender.
- 1). Unplug your KitchenAid immersion blender.
- 2). Remove any attachments and/or adapters.
- 3). Wipe the blender's adapters, motor body and power cord (excluding plug) with a soft, damp cloth and then wipe dry. If these parts have food splatter or stains, wash with a soapy cloth, rinse with a damp cloth and then wipe dry. Wash the attachments (for example, chopping bowl, blades or whisk) in hot, soapy water with a lint-free cloth. Rinse under tap water and wipe completely dry.
- 4). Reassemble your immersion blender by re-attaching any adapters and/or attachments in the order opposite of the steps to disassemble in Step 2.
