Outsourcing And How It Can Help You
WHAT IS OUTSOURCING? Outsourcing is contracting business functions/tasks to an external company.
It can be used at any time for any purpose and involves an agreement for services in exchange for money between two organizations.
For example, a brand new electronics company wants to launch a brand new website but either doesn't have the time or the skill (or both) to produce a quality site that they feel will best advertise their products and services.
So they pay a website designer to create the site for them for a fee.
This is outsourcing.
OUTSOURCING ASPECTS OF YOUR BUSINESS As you'll already know, I'm an online marketer and have the potential to sell my own or other people's products.
I can do anything from promoting an eBook that helps you improve your fitness levels, selling physical products in the health sector or offering online training to internet marketing newbies who want to start up a home business.
However, I can't always do this without the help of others.
In fact, NOBODY can.
Outsourcing is something every successful business and entrepreneur uses.
Let's just say I have a great weight loss product that I'm promoting, have built a website for it and want to advertise it on other websites with the use of a banner.
A banner ad is something you see on virtually every website, for example, a football website with a big banner at the top saying 'Click Here To See All The Weekend's Goals'.
Now, I want my banner to attract people, to make them click it to go through to my own website to sell my product.
DO I KNOW HOW TO DESIGN A BANNER?! Not really.
I could learn but I'm not brilliant at graphics design so should I spend hours fiddling away creating a crappy banner or should I PAY SOMEBODY TO DESIGN THE BANNER AD FOR ME?! The same applies to what I'm doing right now, writing this article.
I know a lot of entrepreneurs out there who outsource their articles.
They pay people to write articles on a subject relating to their business for them.
This could be because they don't have exceptional writing skills and can't get their point across sufficiently or it could be because they're far too busy with other aspects of the business.
Basically, ANY aspect of your business can be outsourced.
There will always be somebody online who can do ANY job for you for a fee.
Experts who specialise in outsourcing.
EVERYBODY USES OUTSOURCING I'm not encouraging to use outsourcing excessively.
You may not have the budget to do it and you may want to learn how to do certain things if you feel it will benefit you in the long run.
But sometimes, outsourcing is crucial.
If there is something you don't feel confident enough to do on your own (web design, banner ads, articles) or don't want to waste your resources by spending hours on a job that can be done by somebody else while you work on what you're good at, outsource it!
