How to Make Big Cards for Mom's Birthday
- 1). Fold a 22-by-28-inch piece of poster board in half. Press a ruler along the crease and drag it down the length of the crease to make a sharp, even fold.
- 2). Write 'Happy Birthday" or another message on the front of the card with colored markers. Go to a greeting card store and look at other cards to get ideas for a message. Depending on your mother's personality, you can make the card humorous or relevant to a hobby she enjoys.
- 3). Personalize the card for your mother, adding her name, nicknames or other mom-like words.
- 4). Decorate the card with pictures that relate to birthdays, such as balloons, party hats, confetti, candles, cake and presents. Use a lot of color in your drawings so the card will be festive.
- 5). Add pictures of the family and your mother to the card. With a large card, you have the room to glue pictures inside. Have family members sign below their pictures and write personal notes. Or, take one picture with the entire family and feature the group shot on the inside of the card.
